What's in a Name?

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Build conversation skills for your English language learners in this spoken language development lesson. In it, learners listen to descriptions written by the teacher prior to the first day of class which include predictions about the physical and personality traits of each class member based on their first and last name. Everyone reads a of copy of their own description, and then they hold a dialogue with a partner about which traits are true and which traits are false.
