Why in the world do we turn our clocks forward in the Spring and back again in the Fall? Share with your students the rationale and history of the Daylight Saving Time concept from Benjamin Franklin through World War I and World War II and finally as a signed law in 1966. Students will be interested in the section on Worldwide Daylight Saving which highlights the different opinions and needs from Moscow to the tropical countries. A list of countries that observe Daylight Saving Time is provided as well as extensive credits for information given.
