Uen: Lesson Plan: Fairy Tale Maps

After listening to the teacher read aloud or tell the story of Little Red Riding Hood, students retell the story and use cutouts of landmarks and arrows to create a map of her journey to Grandmother's house. Students repeat the exercise using cardinal directions and the story The Jolly Postman by Janet and Allan Ahlberg.
