This Nobel Prize site provides hyperlinks (on the far right) to the press release announcing the award to T.S. Eliot (1888-1965 CE), a short biography of his life, the introduction of Eliot to the Academy, and Eliot's acceptance speech. These latter two articles are interesting for the glimpse they give into Eliot's view of poetry and the role the Academy saw Eliot's poetry playing in the larger world.
