Students read a book.  In this story elements lesson plan, students share their favorite food, predict what the story will be about and discuss how they would feel if they got to eat their favorite food everyday.  Students read the book The Chocolate Touch over the course of 2 weeks.  For each chapter students define vocabulary words, answer comprehension questions and complete worksheets.
