Texas Instruments: Numb3 Rs: Guarding the Goods (Part I)

Curated by ACT

Based off of the hit television show NUMB3RS, this lesson introduces students to the Art Gallery Problem, in which the number of guards necessary to guard a two-dimensional space (the "art gallery") must be found. This lesson keeps the methods simple (guess-and-check), but could lead in to more useful algorithms and graph theory topics. This lesson may be useful alongside Guarding the Goods (Part II).
