Shock your physical science class using this video to teach the basics of static electricity. Electricity is defined,and electrons are differentiated from protons on an atom model. The use of hydropower and wind are explained as ways of generating electricity, but be aware that current electricity is not mentioned at all. After the video, your could reinforce the concept of jumping electrons by having kids rub balloons against their hair and stick the balloons to the walls.
