Sometimes a teacher reading to a child doesn't think to stop to ask questions about the text. For those of us who don't engage the learners during reading activities, here is a set of cards that contain the questions all teachers need to ask. Print them and have them ready the next time your read your class a story. Tip: These question cards would be great to send home to encourage active reading and build early literacy. They could also be made larger and posted as a reminder to children as to what they should be thinking about as they read stories and books on their own.
