Young scholars experiment with illuminating important text.  In this fictional literature lesson plan, students research Shakespearean sonnets.  Young scholars identify key elements of the sonnets, and examine the relationship between illuminated text and improved comprehension.  Students review sonnets and decide which lines should be illuminated, and add visual images.
