Students discover relationships between advertisement and persuasive techniques.  In this literacy and consumer education instructional activity, students select magazine or newspaper advertisements that use symbols, pictures, and slogans to persuade consumers to buy their product. Students sort ads and discuss various persuasive techniques being used, then create their own advertisement based on information shared.
