Go directly to two lesson plans developed for a PBS documentary about the lives of women in Afghanistan filmed by Afghan journalism trainees. Use the lessons to have students examine women's roles under the Taliban, new opportunities for Afghan women since the Taliban's fall, continuing obstacles, and the challenges that keep Afghan women from taking advantage of recent progress.
