Pbs: Lesson Plan: A Nation of Many Cultures

Curated by ACT

This lesson plan is based on the "America Responds" series where students explore the concepts of valuing diversity and appreciation of cultural differences. An integrated art, social studies, and language arts lesson plan that is adaptable for grades K-5. Students examine other cultures by creating heritage collages or poems; and using Venn diagrams to compare and contrast aspects of the various cultures. Links available to other PBS resources.
