Use this owl pattern for a paper craft or with fabric. Each part of the template is labeled clearly, and the big parts make this easy for young elementary schoolers to complete. Cutting, however, will be difficult for kids under 2nd grade.

Instructional Ideas

  • Have learners create personalized owls to post above their cubbies.
  • Create a "classroom nest" bulletin board, and pair it with a lesson on nests

Classroom Considerations

  • Have a parent pre-cut the pieces out for kids under second grade
  • The sheet recommends printing at 200%, however that will not fit on normal printer paper. We are recommending printing at 100%

Pros

  • The template is simple enough for young kids, yet can be adapted to be used for older students as well

Cons

  • There are no images of this project completed
