A 1932 American pre-Code romance drama film directed by Frank Borzage, A Farewell to Arms stars Helen Hayes, Gary Cooper, and Adolphe Menjou. And it's based on the Ernest Hemingway novel by the same name. The film won Academy Awards for Best Cinematography and Best Sound, and was also nominated for Best Picture and Best Art Direction.
