  • Create a themed bulletin board that spotlights the unit's information including the quotes found on the title page 
  • Use the sample activities as a warm-up or exit-ticket, take a few minutes to address the topic as a reminder to make good choices with friends
  • Reward positive behavior—challenge pupils to report signs of friendship and respect then offer incentives 

Classroom Considerations

  • The first two lessons are made for grades kindergarten through third grade; the larger portion of the unit targets grades kindergarten through sixth grade 
  • Lesson duration may differ depending on the age of your class members
