Life in the Soil - Is the Soil Alive?

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Amaze soil scientists with a list of the myriad of microorganisms residing in a mere 1/4 teaspoon of soil! Then take them on a ride through the carbon cycle, down to the level of decomposers. Finally, give more specific details about the bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes, and algae that make their homes in the soil. There are no visual aids included in this PowerPoint. Adding some would add to the value of this earth science resource.
