Instructional Ideas

  • Have groups research up-to-date statistics for refugee camps, their location, the number of camps, the approximate number of people living in the camps, and camp conditions before beginning the activity

Classroom Considerations

  • Several versions of Carly's Story are available online; preview to determine the version most appropriate to your learning situation

Pros

  • The five-page packet includes cards that detail the the aspect their group is to investigate

Cons

  • No specific information is included in the cards; the initial groups need to research to find current statistics
  • No rubric for the poster is included
