Layers of the Atmosphere Foldable

Aspiring meteorologists make themselves a tool for reviewing the characteristics of each layer of the atmosphere. The procedure for this little project divides the paper into five sections, but many earth science teachers opt for the four-layer atmosphere model. If so, just adjust the measurements to have learners create four flaps. On each flap, they will name the layer and add a drawing. Inside, they specify the elevation and temperature ranges. They also identify special characteristics. This is an ideal activity for middle school science classes.
