Labeling Forces Correctly!

Define six common forces: propulsion, air resistance, water resistance, friction, gravity, and upthrust. A picture of a Smart Car is displayed with arrows showing all of the forces acting on it when it is motion. A picture of a rubber duck floating in water is also shown with all of the forces acting on it when it is at rest. The final slide suggests an activity in which future physicists identify the forces acting on six different objects, so you will want to provide a worksheet or actual objects for them to analyze.
