The two lessons in the fifth unit in this series are designed to help students with disabilities improve their communication skills. The first lesson has class members practice strategies and skills for appropriate communication. They record role plays and then each student evaluates their performance to identify ways to improve their communication skills. In the second lesson, learners identify appropriate situations when they should present information about their disability and their needs.
