Begin by having the class line up on one end of the gym floor. Ask the class what is the easiest way to get from one side of the gym to the other. Obviously, by walking. So together they walk across to the other side of the gym. The point of the activity is to have pupils build up from slow movement to faster movement. So start with walking, build up to jogging, then skipping, running, and so on.
