Getting-to-Know-You Bingo Game

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Add some variety to your traditional getting-to-know-you activity with a game of bingo! Learners meet and greet with their classmates, filling in squares on a bingo card with students who fit the appropriate description (i.e. "My favorite color is red", or "My hair is blond").

Instructional Ideas

  • Play the game "black out" style where pupils must find someone to match all of the squares! If only one or two squares remain for a student who has talked to all of his classmates, have him replace the box title with a new topic he is interested in discovering

Classroom Considerations

  • As a PDF, you cannot edit the bingo square categories. Depending on the demographics of your class, consider adapting this worksheet to your own creation and adding other categories (i.e. "My favorite food is..." or "My favorite part about summer is...") that may be more appropriate for your class

Pros

  • Easy-to-follow directions
  • Bingo squares provide enough space for responses

Cons

  • None
