Here is a lesson dedicated to helping learners understand the differences between facts and opinions. They examine the first page of several books from the class library to determine if the book is fact or opinion based. A Venn diagram is used to analyze the similarities and differences between fact and opinion pieces; they will do this to determine if they can find both facts and opinions in a variety of texts. Please note that while many standards are listed with the lesson they may not fit the full criteria one would expect.
