Students write numbers in expanded form. In this math lesson, students discover what expanded form represents by observng the teacher writing a number in expanded form on the board in a chart. Additionally, students write the answers to problems showing the expanded form of each number to thousands represented by using addition signs, ie: 1,000 + 300+60+7 for 1,367.
