End-of-Year Student Survey

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Take the time at the end of the school year to learn from your youngsters about their experience in your class. Designed for elementary pupils, this survey asks students to comment on such elements as activities/lessons they did and did not enjoy, what helped them to learn, and how the teacher can improve.

Instructional Ideas

  • Before handing out the survey, discuss some of the questions with your class and clarify what they mean (i.e. What does it mean to feel challenged, and is it a good thing?)
  • Consider having students submit their surveys anonymously so they will feel more comfortable to be honest and straightforward in their comments

Pros

  • Good variety of questions to offer a comprehensive look at the year
  • Simple, straightforward survey

Cons

  • None
