Instructional Ideas

  • Take a day or two in the computer lab to fully explore the online version and get all the questions out about navigating an online assessment
  • Set aside time to teach test-taking strategies and discuss the questions and answers on this exam

Classroom Considerations

  • Depending on your printing setup, it may be difficult to print the large-print version included in the materials
  • Note that some questions take on a different format in the online version; for example, pupils may be asked to drag and drop passages into a chart
  • Learners will see their scores for the easily graded questions after completing the online version; this does not show answers, just scores

Pros

  • Both the online and paper tests are paired with answer keys that clearly show the relationship between each question and certain Common Core standards
  • The online version is a powerful tool for supporting your pupils as they prepare to take online tests

Cons

  • None
