Young scholars explore the effect that salt has on the temperature of ice. In this scientific inquiry lesson, students observe an experiment to see how cold  ice can get when salt is added. Young scholars then explore how the ice compares to the temperature of the original ice mixture when it has no salt. Students make connections to the real world when thinking about the results of this experiment.
