Count How Many

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

How many now? Math beginners will benefit from this introduction to addition which doesn't even include addition symbols. They read number sentences in word form; however the numbers are in numeric form (for example, "1 and 2 more makes..."). You may want to give them manipulatives to help with these as scholars add up single-digit numbers to find single-digit sums. They practice writing numbers and can reference the digits as they are listed at the bottom. There are 14 number sentences on the worksheet.
