Wouldn't it be lovely if people were immune from colds and flu? Alas, such is not the case; however, there are things we can do to avoid getting or spreading these pesky health hazards. Middle schoolers read articles that provide them with background information and then create a factsheet that can be posted about the school to share what they have learned. Partners then role-play a situation in which they have to miss a school dance. They act out symptoms, ways to avoid catching and spreading germs, and how to relieve some of the discomforts.
