Have the class line up on one side of the gym. Choose one person to be the tagger. When the tagger yells "blob tag!" then the whole class runs across the gym while trying not to get tagged. Anyone that's tagged, now becomes part of the blob and must link arms. This continues until most runners are tagged.

Instructional Ideas

  • Play until there is only one person left. That person will become the new blob tagger in the next round

Classroom Considerations

  • If the blob gets to be over four people long, split the blob in half
  • Can be played in the gym or outside. If playing outside, setup boundaries for taggers and runners
  • This video is hosted on YouTube

Pros

  • Does not require any equipment

Cons

  • Audio quality is poor
