Instructional Ideas

  • Assign this for homework or as a warm-up exercise

Classroom Considerations

  • This is part of a series of analogy worksheets for middle school
  • The example may be a bit confusing for some; the analogy and bridge sentences are not actually related
  • Note that the exercise does get gradually more difficult as supports are removed

Pros

  • Comes with an key that provides the answers and additional explanation for the answers
  • The bridge sentences give support to pupils as they work on mastering word relationships; they can also keep this strategy with them for later analogy work

Cons

  • None
