Alex: Freezing Things: States of Matter

Curated by ACT

The class will go back over the Power Point presentation on chemical and physical properties. The teacher will then conduct numerous liquid nitrogen demos. This lesson is used early in the Chemistry course. The students love it. This lesson can be used to spark interest in science. The students (in cooperative learning groups) will then be required to produce a concept map and short report on an assigned gas. This lesson plan was created as a result of the Girls Engaged in Math and Science, GEMS Project funded by the Malone Family Foundation.
