Young scholars explore baseball. This is a cross-curricular plan that includes math, history, and agriculture. Pupils use their five senses to observe the materials a baseball is made from and identify the agricultural products used. In addition, they read about the sport of baseball as it was played in Ancient Rome and complete reading comprehension worksheets. For the math portion, learners measure the circumference of a baseball and the length of a baseball bat, and solve math story problems based on a baseball theme. You might be hard-pressed to meet all of the standards listed by the publisher.
