Learners, through the use of candy bars at room temperature, explore the problems selecting a landing site on Mars.

Students explore the possibility of being on Mars and being able to identify the Earth.  In this space lesson students complete a set of calculations to see if this is possible. 

Students design a calendar that displays time on Mars. They explore the differences between time on Earth and time on Mars while making the calendar.
