Overcoming Obstacles Middle School Curriculum: Resolving Conflicts

Conflicts are a part of life. It’s learning how to deal with them that’s tricky. Middle schoolers learn strategies for resolving conflicts with the help of the games and activities in the six lessons that make up the Overcoming Obstacles “Resolving Conflicts” module. Participants learn how to respond rather than react to conflicts and use their communications skills, including “I messages,” to create win-win situations. Finally, class members demonstrate what they have learned by applying their skills to provided scenarios.
