The school district serves approximately 2,800 students from the villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, New York.

Dr. Sanchez has been an integral member of the Ossining Union Free School District where he has worked for two decades and has served as superintendent since 2013. Sanchez is credited with enhancing the quality of education, prioritizing the building of trust within the school community, and supporting college and career readiness skills for students.

Growing up in Tarrytown, Dr. Sanchez continues to have a strong commitment to the community, located in Westchester County. The new leader received the Distinguished Service Award from the Lower Hudson Council of School Superintendents. Sanchez has served the community and its causes on both a personal and professional level. Dr. Raymond Sanchez looks forward to serving the community and stated, “I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career, especially in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion and improving outcomes for all students, and look forward to bringing the same passion and professionalism to this role.”\n
